![]() This is my first post and I look forward to your recommendations of how to solve this problem. The vendor walked me thru the factory reset so it seems unlikely that something was done incorrectly. I had to do a factory reset on Denon a couple of weeks ago due to the Denon remote freezing (we use Denon remote to control sound on TV) and the problem began after that. If that is true, why did it just start recently and what is triggering it to do this? They said that the Samsung TV may be sending signal to receiver causing it to switch modes and causing TV to shut off. There are several sound modes to choose from on LG smart TVs. They tried a couple of things but could not fix it. The tv is Sharp Aquos 4TC60CH1X ( only has dolby audio ), through a Denon AVR-S750H. Bundle Includes Wall Mount Voucher, 40 Apple Gift Card or 40 Pandora Streaming Credit, and 30 Coupon for Sonos Accessories The Compact Smart Soundbar for TV. I contacted the vendor I bought Denon from. Master control of your Samsung TV and connected devices. Connection 1 : TV equipped with an HDMI connector and compatible with the ARC (Audio Return Channel. ARC (Audio Return Channel) / eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) function plays TV audio on this unit by sending the TV audio signal to this unit via HDMI cable. This worked fine for 10 months so why is it now a problem? I need to solve this problem so my wife can watch our home theatre TV without my assistance in setting up. How to connect a TV depends on the connectors and functions equipped on the TV. From product selection to design to installation and beyond, our knowledgeable staff is with you through every step of the journey. This is an effective (but annoying) workaround for me but my wife gets very confused about it. If I hit CBL/SAT button on Denon, the TV usually turns on, but sometimes it takes several tries for the TV to come on. This worked great for 10 months but recently the TV shuts off after about 30 seconds and Denon goes from CBL/SAT mode to TV Audio. We power on Denon remote and then CBL/TV remote. Could be worth the investment as you enjoy the current sound so much. I started the tv install guide, The tv then recognized the Denon reciever and I could turn it on & off with the samsung remote. ![]() I unplugged all HDMI Inputs that were going in to the receiver, just left the 1 HDMI output on connected to the samsung tvs Arc port. You can then connect the RCA leads to the Denon. I started with restarting my TV (Very important), factory reset. Note: To use ARC you must turn on HDMI control in the menu of the receiver, as well as the TV. By using a standalone one you would connect the optical output from the TV to it where the 0 and 1s of the digital realm will be converted to an analogue signal. You should now be able to output the TV audio through your AV receiver. My cable box is connected to my Denon which connects to Samsung Q80 using HDMI (ARC). Select 'TV AUDIO' from the input source select buttons on the remote control or the receiver.
